Considering the Trump administration actions we witness each day, the PAC attack ads detailing Graham Platner’s past words and questionable actions strike me as odd.
A Marine veteran, Platner served combat tours in Middle Eastern war zones, returning home to process experiences most Americans cannot relate to. But some of us understand how long the unraveling and rebuilding of lives takes — and how often that process is interrupted.
These canned political ads represent a party that gloats, wears identifiable hats, follows a leader who mocks people with disabilities, shames reporters and NATO leaders, is misogynistic and lies about everything — while trying to blame all his woes on President Biden, who once beat that leader in an honest election.
Wading through this daily assault is exhausting to all U.S. citizens and laughable to our former allies. Add to that a family with five generations of males who have never served in uniform.
