AUGUSTA – Kristin Joy Goraj Everatt, 59, of Augusta, passed away on May 12, 2026, in Augusta.

Born on April 22, 1967, in Augusta to John and Donna (McDonough) Goraj, Kris attended St. Mary’s School, Cony High School and Central Maine School of Nursing and was a registered nurse serving the community for her entire working profession. Kris enjoyed the ocean, frameworks puzzles, Stephen King stories, crime shows and especially loved making holiday memories with her family, Christmas being her favorite.

Kris was predeceased by her parents, John (Aug. 8, 2022) and Donna (June 7, 2008).

Kris is survived and will be deeply missed by her son Jon (Allyson) Fortin, her daughter Sarah (Julian) Lall; her four grandchildren, Avery, Jude, August and Eloise; her siblings, Katherine (Van) Perry, Karina (James) Goraj and Thomas (Cara) Goraj; and her niece and nephews, Ava, Joseph, Jacob and Tristan; her former sister-in-law Shelley Goraj as well as her aunts, Katherine (Vladimir) McDonough and Jo-Ann McDonough; her uncle Joseph Goraj and several cousins and extended family members.

Services will be private.
