There’s finally some semblance of stability in the Varsity Maine baseball poll. The 10 teams are the same as last week, South Portland is the lone No. 1 for the second straight week, four teams (the Red Riots, Oxford Hills, Mt. Ararat and Fryeburg) are ranked the same as last week, and all but three teams are within one spot of last week’s ranking.

Gorham and Leavitt made the biggest jumps, both moving up two spots. The Rams, who again received a first-place vote, went from fourth to second. They face No. 1 South Portland on Tuesday in Gorham.

Leavitt moved to eighth thanks to a six-game win streak since their only loss — to Oxford Hills on May 4.

The Varsity Maine baseball poll is based on games played before May 19, 2026. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.
