Parker Morin went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double and six RBI as Cony baseball defeated Erskine Academy 15-5 in six innings Wednesday in Augusta.

Morin also got the win on the mound for the Rams (9-2), striking out six batters and allowing only two hits and one earned run. Ben Allen added two hits and four RBI for Cony.

Carter Ulmer had a double and two RBI for the Eagles (3-8).

MARANACOOK 4, HALL-DALE 2: Noah Longfellow drew a bases-loaded walk to force home the go-ahead run in the sixth inning, and Will Watson followed with an RBI single as the Black Bears (9-1) fought off the Bulldogs (4-7) in Readfield.

The teams combined for only nine hits. Caldre Glowa got the victory in relief, striking out eight over the final four innings while yielding just one hit.

LEAVITT 5, GARDINER 3: Nick Mellen doubled, singled and drove in two runs to help the Hornets (11-1) get past the Tigers (3-7) in Turner.

Mellen and Randan Hutchinson each hit an RBI single to spark a four-run bottom of the third inning.

Both teams managed only four hits in the contest. Sam Stretton started and struck out three in five innings for Leavitt. Hunter Holst (two strikeouts) and Ryder Sawyer-Brown (three strikeouts) pitched an inning of relief apiece.

Gardiner’s Joseph Goraj went the distance and fanned six batters. Grayson Greenleaf and Liam Verhille each had a hit and an RBI for the Tigers.

SOFTBALL

CARRABEC 14, RICHMOND 2: Kaitlin Dellarma drove in five runs as the Cobras (6-6) posted a five-inning mercy-rule win over the Bobcats (4-5) in Richmond.

Dellarma, Amiya Tibbetts and winning pitcher Jillian Robinson all had two hits for Carrabec. Tibbetts scored three runs and Robinson drove in two.

In the circle, Robinson allowed four hits. Both Richmond runs were unearned.

Samantha Leathers was 2 for 2 with an RBI for Richmond.

LEAVITT 13, GARDINER 3: Brooke Boutaugh homered and drove in four runs, and the Hornets (8-4) rode a six-run first inning to a six-inning win over the Tigers (8-2) in Turner.

Boutaugh opened the scoring with an RBI single in the bottom of the first, and she hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning. She finished 3 for 4 and scored two runs. Charlee Pelletier and Elizabeth Kowalski each added a double and two hits, Hailey Cyr doubled and Mallory Cunningham had two hits and two RBI.

Cyr also earned the win with three strikeouts in six innings. The Hornets entered the contest on a two-game losing streak, while Gardiner is ranked fifth in the Varsity Maine poll and is first in the Class B North Heal standings.

Karen Munzing hit a solo home run for the Tigers in the bottom of the second inning. Munzing, Lexi Ouellette and Zoey Sullivan-Brennan had two hits apiece, and Molly Takatsu doubled.

BOYS LACROSSE

CONY/HALL-DALE 4, MT. ARARAT 3: Tenny Tibbetts scored three goals and Kamden Jones made 20 saves as the Rams (7-2) beat the Eagles (6-3) in overtime in Augusta.

Alex Leet contributed a goal and an assist.

Landon Treworgy, Luke Anderson and Nick White scored for Mt. Ararat.
