On the first day of early voting, I proudly cast my ballot for Troy Jackson for governor. I have known him since 2014 and although the other candidates in the race are all smart, accomplished people, only Jackson has the unique combination of leadership skills, legislative experience, labor credentials, personal history, big achievable ideas and true grit to lead Maine to a future of economic opportunity and security for all its citizens — regardless of which part of the state they live in.
Jackson has a long record of fighting for affordable and accessible healthcare, collective bargaining rights for workers, housing, childcare, women’s reproductive rights and quality education. He is a champion of the little guy, not big, wealthy corporations.
I hope everyone will join me in voting for Troy Jackson on June 9.
