A man is in custody after a stabbing incident at a Raymond campground.
Deputies from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident at Kingsley Camp Ground just after 7 p.m. Saturday following reports of a stabbing.
They determined Donald Halsing, 26, had been stabbed in the chest during an unprovoked attack at a wedding reception. Halsing was transported to Maine Medical Center by the Raymond Fire Department with non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies identified the subject as Andrew Manderson, 26. He was transported to the Cumberland County Jail and charged with elevated aggravated assault.
Officials said there is no ongoing threat to the public, and the incident remains under investigation.
