Ronald Lee Lane
WATERVILLE – Ronald Lee Lane was born April 12, 1955, in Fairfield, Maine, to Fred Lane and Priscilla Cormier Lane. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School in 1973.
He passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, in Waterville, at Lakewood Continuing Care Center with his loving wife by his side. Fondly known as “Ronnie,” Ron will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and hardworking nature.
Ron had many talents. He was musically gifted, loved to dance with his wife Darlene, enjoyed cooking for the Elks Lodge and VFW, and was an excellent gardener, builder, and heavy equipment operator.
His career included Cianbro, Dragon Products, Local 4 pipeline work, and crane operation at Bath Iron Works. He took great pride in his work and accomplishments.
Ron and Darlene were married July 6, 1974, and shared a lifelong partnership. Together they raised their two children, Rhonda Downing and Fred Lane.
The family thanks Lakewood Healthcare Center LLC and Beacon Hospice Care for their compassionate care.
Per his wishes, there will be no formal services.
Ron will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
