Three individuals were seriously injured in a crash along Route 1 in Brunswick early Sunday morning. The preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol was involved, according to Brunswick Police.
Police responded to the single-vehicle crash at approximately 3:20 a.m. near Omsby Way. They discovered a 2015 Sedan carrying three occupants had struck a cable barrier and rolled off the left side of the road.
The driver and rear seat passenger were not buckled, and were ejected from the vehicle. All three occupants were transported with suspected serious injuries.
Route 1 was reduced to one lane for several hours, but has since reopened to all traffic.
The Brunswick Police and the Brunswick Fire Department did not have information about the occupants’ ages, or where they were transported for medical attention. The incident is still under investigation.
