‘Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations’

For guaranteed sunshine on even the cloudiest day, see the musical “Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations.” Your imagination will be running away as the journey of R&B band The Temptations goes from the streets of Detroit all the way to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. With songs like “My Girl,” “Papa was a Rolling Stone,” “Just My Imagination” and “The Way You Do the Things You Do,” the jukebox musical will sweep you right off your feet.

Arrested Development

Hip-hop giants Arrested Development bring their “Legacy In Motion” tour to Waterville for a show that will feature hits like “Tennessee,” “People Everyday” and “Mr. Wendel.” They’re all from the 1992 album “3 Years, 5 Months and 2 Days in the Life Of …” Many albums have followed, including last year’s “Adult Contemporary Hip Hop.” Todd Thomas, better known as Speech, still fronts the band.

‘Hansel and Gretel’

Spend an enchanting afternoon with the Tanglewood Marionettes’ production of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale “Hansen and Gretel.” With marionettes, music and a giant storybook set, you’ll follow Hansel and Gretel into the woods where they come face to face with a witch, and are met with several challenges in their quest to return home. When the colorful pages of the storybook are turned, a new scene is revealed in a tale set in the 19th century that features melodies from an opera by composer Engelbert Humperdinck.

Swing Dance Night
