Thornton Academy, Falmouth and Yarmouth have established themselves as the clear top-three in the Varsity Maine boys lacrosse poll. For the second week in a row, the Golden Trojans received all nine first-place votes, the Navigators garnered every second-place vote, and the Clippers are ranked third in each voter’s top-10.

There’s a chance the order of the top three will change — either that, or be further solidified — because Yarmouth and Falmouth both get a shot at Thornton during the next week. The Clippers play at Thornton on Tuesday, and Falmouth hosts the Golden Trojans next Tuesday.

Unlike the past two weeks, the top five is a little different. But not much. Marshwood has moved up to No. 4 after being ranked seventh last week. Scarborough remains fifth.

Deering also jumped three spots from ninth to sixth.

The Varsity Maine boys lacrosse poll is based on games played before May 26, 2026. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.

1. Thornton Academy (9) 90
2. Falmouth 81
3. Yarmouth 72
4. Marshwood 52
5. Scarborough 45
6. Deering 32
7. Messalonskee 29
8. Edward Little 21
9. York 20
10. Greely 19
