Lawrence John Chadwick Jr.

PITTSTON – Lawrence John Chadwick Jr., 90, of Pittston, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., the son of Lawrence J. Sr. and Rowena (Beckwith) Chadwick.

Larry shared 71 devoted years of marriage with the love of his life, Ann Chadwick. Together they built a life centered around family, hard work, laughter, and the outdoors. Larry worked for many years at Associated Grocers before retiring at 64 years old.

Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Larry could make people laugh in almost any situation. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. One of Larry’s greatest joys was cheering his family on at sporting events and spending time with those he loved most.

Above all else, Larry was a family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Chadwick; his children, Larry Chadwick and his wife Dawn, Lance Chadwick, Robbie Chadwick and his wife Suzanne, Laurel Chadwick, Lynn Chadwick and her wife Stacy.

Larry’s greatest pride was watching his family grow. He leaves behind eight treasured grandchildren, Jason and his wife, Kris, Kim DuBois and her husband, Caleb, Bass and his wife, Kate, Forrest and his wife, Tory, Nicole Chaput and her husband, Zach, Lauren, Anna, and AJ.

He was also the proud great-grandfather of Wyatt, Owen, Oliver, Peyton, Charlotte, Henry, Forrest (#6), and Hadley.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at a later date.

In honor of Larry’s memory, the family encourages you to go fishing, spend time outdoors, and share the simple joys he loved so much.
