Nancy L. Gerrier

WISCASSET – Nancy L. Gerrier, 79, passed away May 17, 2026, at MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. She was born on April 18, 1947, a daughter of Roger and Leora (Ireland) Cote.

Nancy was a graduate of Cony High School. On Oct. 16, 1965, she married Edward R. Gerrier and the two eventually made their home in Sidney, where they raised a family.

Nancy was employed by the Family Medical Institute in Augusta as a nurse for 33 years.

During her retirement years, Nancy and Ed enjoyed spending winters in Hilton Head, S.C. and traveling with her family. In addition, Nancy was an excellent cook.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Ann Gerrier; her sisters Dawne Smith and Sherry Gilley; and her husband, Ed in October of 2025.

Nancy is survived by her devoted sons Edward Gerrier Jr. and his wife Pamela, Clifford Gerrier, and Barry Gerrier; a brother, Berry Cote and his partner Brenda Kayler; four grandchildren, David Dionne and his wife Laura, Jessica Dionne, Hannah Gerrier, and Travis Gerrier; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A committal service will be held on Wednesday, June 10, at 9 a.m., at the Maine Veteran’s Cemetery, 143 Blue Star Ave., Augusta, ME 04330, committal shelter.
