Stella Stewart and Alice Ferran scored five goals apiece, and the Maranacook/Winthrop girls lacrosse team wrapped up an undefeated regular season with an 18-7 victory over Waynflete on Monday in Portland.

Cooper Davis added four goals for the Black Bears (14-0), who led 10-4 at halftime. Mya St. Pierre netted two goals, while Hadley Farwell and Evelyn Mortimer each scored once. Willow Woodford made seven saves.

Amara Redon led the Flyers (4-9) with three goals, Lily Daly had two, Alex Leopold and Quinn Culley added one each, and Mya Clark stopped 10 shots.

CONY 18, MORSE 3: Gabby Vachon had six goals and an assist as the Rams (8-5) cruised to a win over the Shipbuilders (6-7-1) in Bath.

Casey Monson added five goals, while Rylin Miller tallied three goals and two assists. Paige Logan contributed two goals and an assist, Katelynn Dutil had a goal and an assist, Kate Morin scored a goal and Kennedy Dube assisted on one.

Zoe Nicholson had a goal and an assist, while Elinor Riley and Jolee Burchette also scored for Morse.

BASEBALL

MT. ABRAM 4, LISBON 2: Brennan Mitchell pitched a complete game and Killian Pillsbury hit a triple to lead the Roadrunners (8-8) past the Greyhounds (9-6) in Salem. 

Mitchell allowed one earned run on four hits while striking out seven and walking two. He also drove in a run and scored one. Bryce Cote also had an RBI and scored a run. 

JT Hoyle and Jeff Tuplin each drove in a run for Lisbon. 

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 4, WINTHROP 2: Josh Pollis struck out 11 and allowed only three hits in a complete-game effort for the Falcons (6-8) as they took down the Ramblers (7-8) in Rumford.

Pollis reached 100 career strikeouts. He also contributed offensively with an RBI double. Landon Theriault had team-highs of two hits and two RBI, and Kegan Jordan drove in Mountain Valley’s other run.

Two of Winthrop’s three hits were doubles by Brody Adams and Porter Lavigne. The latter drove in both of the Ramblers’ runs in the top of the seventh inning.

Winthrop’s Wyatt Grant also pitched a complete game, fanning five and allowing seven hits in six innings.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 3, OAK HILL 2: A three-run fourth inning boosted the Mustangs (14-1) over the Raiders (6-8) in Monmouth.

Monmouth has won 11 straight games and is in first place in the Class C South Heal point standings, a few points ahead of Maranacook with one game left — at Dirigo, which defeated Maranacook on Monday.

Oak Hill’s Braden Dubuc led off the game with a double and later scored on an error, and the Raiders went up 2-0 on Kolton Ouellette’s RBI single in the fourth inning.

Monmouth was limited to three hits. That included only one hit, a single by Noah Schultz, in the decisive bottom of the fourth. The first two batters, Levi Laverdiere and Jake Harmon, were hit by pitches. Laverdiere scored the first run on an error, then Harmon came home on Kyle LePage’s RBI groundout. Rory Foyt’s RBI groundout brought in Noah Schultz for the go-ahead run.

Rory Foyt had two hits for the Mustangs. LePage pitched 6 2/3 innings and struck out four while scattering seven hits to earn the win. Reliever Logan LeClair entered the game with two outs and runners at the corners in the seventh, and struck out the only batter he faced to notch a save.

Declan Brackley pitched five innings for Oak Hill, striking out four and allowing two hits and two runs. Ouellette allowed one hit and one run in an inning on the mound.

DIRIGO 11, MARANACOOK 7: The Cougars (7-7) started fast, scoring 10 runs over the first three innings, and dealt the Black Bears (14-2) only their second loss of the season in a Class C South contest in Dixfield.

Dirigo scored three runs in the first, three in the second and four in the third to lead 10-2 after three innings.

Trevor Crosby and Caden Hutchinson both recorded three hits and an RBI for the Cougars, while Ty LaPointe drove in three runs, highlighted by a two-run double in the second inning, and Clark Averill singled twice and had three RBI. Dirigo finished with 10 hits and drew 13 walks.

Crosby earned the win with six strikeouts in six innings for the Cougars, who have won four straight.

Maranacook smacked 13 hits, including three apiece by Noah Longfellow, Grady Hreben and Carter Nelson, and two by Jack Spellman. Longfellow also drove in two runs.

SOFTBALL

CENTRAL 14, MCI 0: Aili Spack had two hits, including a triple, and two RBI, and earned the win as the Red Devils (12-3) beat the Huskies (5-11) in Pittsfield. 

Jordyn Curtis added three hits, two RBI and two runs scored for Central. 

Bella Barkac-Girroir and Dylyn Dubar each had a hit for MCI. 

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 10, WINTHROP/KENTS HILL 0: A five-run bottom of the first propelled the Falcons (9-5) to a five-inning victory over the Ramblers (4-11) in Rumford.

Mountain Valley scored three times in the third and twice in the fifth.

Maddy Brown belted a pair of hits and drove in three runs. Althea Allen doubled and recorded two RBI, and Kyanah Wing, Isabella Dupuis and Hayden Chase each knocked in a run.

Falcons pitcher Addison Libby struck out eight in a complete-game shutout. She allowed two hits and walked two.

Kylee Mansir and Cyara Harriman both doubled for Winthrop.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 3, OAK HILL 2: Kaitlyn Frost’s walk-off triple with two outs in the bottom of the seventh lifted the Mustangs (13-2) to victory over the Raiders (6-8) in Monmouth.

Frost also singled for the Mustangs, who scored their first two runs in the third and fifth innings.

Evelyn Pettengill doubled and pitched all seven innings for Monmouth, striking out seven and allowing two runs on five hits.

Oak Hill tied the game in the fourth and again with a run in the sixth inning.

Izzy Whitaker singled twice for the Raiders. She also pitched a complete game, finishing with four strikeouts and allowing eight hits.
