Brooks Brannon and Franklin Arias each slugged a two-run homer, and Anthony Eyanson pitched five scoreless innings for the Portland Sea Dogs in a 9-0 win Tuesday night against the Hartford Yard Goats at Hadlock Field in Portland.
The Sea Dogs took the lead with four runs in the third inning. Nate Baez drove in Tyler McDonough and Marvin Alcantara with a double to left-center, and Brannon followed with a drive over the Green Monster in left field for his eighth home run of the season.
Arias made it 6-0 in the seventh with his 13th home run, a blast that cleared the center-field fence.
Portland tacked on three runs in the eighth. Miguel Bleis hit an RBI double, and McDonough drove in two more with another double.
Eyanson (2-0) allowed five hits, struck out three and walked one. Patrick Halligan pitched three hitless innings and Erik Rivera closed it out in the ninth.
