For the third consecutive week, Thornton received every first-place vote, Falmouth every second-place vote, and Yarmouth garnered all of the third-place votes in the Varsity Maine boys lacrosse poll.
Scarborough has been hovering in the group of the next three teams for straight weeks, but has moved into fourth place for the first time this season. Messalonskee, meanwhile, jumped from seventh last week to fifth, and Deering remains in sixth.
Noble is in the top-10 for the first time since May 6. The Knights are one point behind No. 9 Greely and beat York for the 10th spot by one point.
It’s important to note that next week’s top three could look different for the first time this season if No. 2 Falmouth is able to take down the season-long No. 1 Thornton Academy on Tuesday.
