Maine voters have a lot on their plates on June 9.
Those who vote on the Democratic side will choose who runs in November against formidable Republicans like Susan Collins (in the Senate race) and Paul LePage (in the 2nd Congressional District.) And Republicans will have an important choice to make in the governor’s race — as do Democrats, with seven and five primary candidates, respectively. Plus, we can’t forget about all those nonpartisan down-ballot races. Check out our free, comprehensive voter guide here.
With so many options before voters, we spent much of the last two months trying to make things a little simpler.
We profiled all of the major candidates running for governor and U.S. House. We also profiled Graham Platner and planned to run a similar story about Gov. Janet Mills, but she dropped out of the Senate race on April 30. (Incumbent Republican Sen. Susan Collins doesn’t have a primary opponent.)
Those profiles are now free to read. Get to know the candidates before you vote.
