AUGUSTA – On May 23, 2026, our beloved Laurier L. St. Pierre, 67, passed peacefully in his sleep at his home in Augusta, Maine.
Laurier was born in Augusta on June 10, 1958, the son and 5th child of Laurier and Pauline (Laflamme) St. Pierre. Laurier attended grade school in North Leeds, and was a graduate of Cony High School in 1976.
Laurier was a self-employed hair stylist in Augusta for over 40 years, founding and owning several salons including “People’s Le Salon”, “Citi Salon” and “Krome”. He had a unique style and took great pride in decorating his salon for the seasons/holidays. His front window was a magnificent display of creativity for downtown Gardiner. Laurier was a passionate and creative hair stylist, who took great pride in all his hair creations.
Laurier was deeply devoted to his family, friends and clients. He was a kindhearted and generous man. He was a talented gourmet cook who loved to entertain family and friends, especially during the Christmas season. His home was always spectacularly decorated with a massive Christmas Tree and various holiday decorations old, and new, providing a welcoming and festive environment.
Laurier cherished his family and friends and the memories they shared. He had several shelves full of family and friend photos old and new. His home was welcoming inside and out. He enjoyed dining out with friends and attending family functions. He shone with a unique vibrancy, and made known that everyone who walked through the doors of his home or salon were very special to him.
He was predeceased by his parents Laurier and Pauline St Pierre; and a sister, Marguerite “Peggy” St. Pierre.
Surviving him, his only son Chandler St. Pierre of Augusta; his friend and mother to his son Jackie St. Pierre; his very special granddaughter Faith St. Pierre and her wife Cally of Vassalboro; his two sisters Diana Weymouth of Pittston, and Constance and Bob Grenier of Portland, his brother Donald St. Pierre his wife Sara of Wayne; as well as scores of wonderful cousins, nieces, and nephews. Also his beloved cat June who was always at his side. He will be greatly remembered and missed.
Family and friends are welcome to Laurier’s Celebration of Life on June 7 at 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at The Quarry Tap Room at 122 Water St., Hallowell, Maine.
