Constance Noonan
WATERVILLE – Constance “Connie” Noonan, 97, of Waterville, Maine, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, with her family at her side.
Connie was born in Waterville on Jan. 7, 1929, the daughter of Joseph E. and Adelia (Larochelle) Reny. She was educated in the Waterville schools, married Arthur J Noonan and settled on King Street in Waterville, where she called home for the rest of her life. She was employed by CF Hathaway where she worked until her retirement, after which she worked as a Waterville school crossing guard as well as serving many volunteer efforts through her church.
Connie was a lifelong resident of Waterville who was beloved by her family and neighbors. She was a “giver”, always putting other people’s needs above her own. Connie was a deeply devoted Catholic and member of the Notre Dame Church of Waterville. Her faith governed her life. She was especially involved with the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament of Waterville and was tireless in her efforts to support them and their well-being.
Connie was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Noonan; her daughter Janice McAllister; her brother Jerome Reny, her sisters Adeline Vashon and Natalie Boulette; her daughter-in-law Patti Noonan, her son-in-law Robert Cote; and her granddaughter Sabrina Kelley.
She is survived by her sons Patrick (Rick) Noonan of Fairfield, and Anthony Noonan and his wife Lori of Fairfield, her daughter Jackie and husband Charlie Kellenberger of Waterville and son-in-law David McAllister and his wife Terri of Jacksonville; brothers Charles Reny of Texas and Brother Donald Reny of Texas; her God-daughters Nan Babb of Waterville, Jean Ouellette of Fairfield and Claire Young of Vassalboro; nine grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held at on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street, Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 116 Silver Street, Waterville. An interment at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery will take place at a later date.
The family would like to thank all the employees of Oak Grove Care Center. The compassion and care Connie received is greatly appreciated.
