Crews were working to contain a massive house fire that broke out at Wells Beach on Sunday afternoon.
At around 4:30 p.m. crews responded to the scene in the area of 149 Atlantic Ave. The Wells Police Department and the Wells Fire Department were working to contain the blaze, which was producing heavy plumes of black smoke.
Atlantic Avenue was also closed, according to police. They requested that the area stay clear while crews work.
Officials do not have information about injuries, and it was not immediately clear how the fire started, according to dispatch.
