Police are investigating a shooting in Lewiston, which left one victim hospitalized Sunday morning, according to the Lewiston Police Department.
Just before 3 a.m., patrolling officers of the Lewiston Police Department heard gunshots coming from Webster Street. Officers immediately responded and found 23-year-old Leyla Isaak suffering from a gunshot wound in front of 89 Webster St.
Paramedics transported Isaak to Central Maine Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
In February, Isaak was arrested on charges of aggravated reckless conduct, reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and criminal mischief, after firing multiple gunshots that hit a vehicle in Lewiston, according to police.
