WATERVILLE – Simone “Sam” Dickey (White) passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Lakewood Skilled Care Center. Born in Madison on Aug. 30, 1940, to Percy and Eva White and known to many as “Sam,” she was cherished in her community and family for her warm presence and the sincerity she brought to every conversation.

Mom was someone who made the world feel a little more generous, a little more attentive, and a lot more kind. A retired school cafeteria worker, Mom always made sure everyone had enough to eat, and she always gave a little extra, whether an extra spoonful of food or an extra smile.

She is now reunited with her beloved parents and her husband, Teddy, whom she married on Sept. 20, 1958. We know mom is now riding her Harley in Heaven side by side with dad.

She is survived by her three sons, Tim, Tom, and Todd, and many loving and devoted family members. Her family extends their profound gratitude to the team at Lakewood Skilled Center, and to Bri, Lynn, and Abby of Beacon Hospice, for the compassionate and wonderful care they gave our beloved mom. Their kindness brought comfort not only to mom, but to all who love her.

Mom’s life reminds us that what we give others, our attention, our care, and our kindness, endures far beyond us. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those lucky enough to have known her.

“Our pain is a small price to pay for her peace.”

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 1 p.m., in St. Sebastian Cemetery in Madison.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home and Cremation Services. To leave a condolence for the family and to view the online obituary, please visit http://www.gibersonfuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory may be sent to Corpus Christi Parish, 17 South Garand Street, Winslow, Maine 04901
