Alicia was born Nov. 26, 1983 in Waterville, Maine, to Tim and Jane Drake. Alicia was educated in Livermore, Maine Schools and graduated from Monmouth Academy in Monmouth, Maine in 2002 with honors. Alicia was a standout athlete with letters in soccer, basketball, and softball. Softball was Alicia’s passion and she went on to play at the University of Maine until her illness stopped her career.

Alicia shared her ability with hospitals in Maine and Georgia including Grady Hospital’s Emergency Room, Georgia’s biggest trauma hospital. Alicia was employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bangor, Maine where she was revered and loved for her work ethic, care and advocacy for her patients, mentored young nurses, and for her sense of humor that got everyone through the tough days.
Alicia relocated to Georgia in 2025 to live with her mother and seek better medical care for herself. Alicia was born with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. As a result, she had a heart condition as well as many other complicating factors.
Alicia will be so missed. Her smile, the laughter, and those eyes will never be forgotten. She was so loved by so many.
