I encourage Maine voters to support Dr. Nirav Shah’s candidacy to become Maine’s next senator for several reasons.

Shah has experience and knowledge that would serve Maine well. With a background in healthcare, law and economics, he is by far the most knowledgeable candidate to work on issues such as healthcare, cost of living and immigration.

Having worked in the Biden administration, Shah is uniquely qualified to address and correct the direction of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention under Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

As a professor at Colby, he has knowledge to address education and the direction needed to advance our young students.

Sen. Susan Collins praised his leading Maine through the pandemic, which is hard to retract.

Shah is not part of the establishment in Maine.

Many of the other candidates in the race to be senator have dutifully served in the Maine Legislature. Their experience would better serve in support of Hannah Pingree’s term as governor.
