There’s a place in Augusta that makes sure no one has to be without basic essentials, things like toothpaste, shampoo and even feminine hygiene products. When times get hard and we fall behind on bills and need help, places like Bridging the Gap are always there with a helping hand.

This community outreach service is offered through Emmanuel Lutheran Episcopal Church of Augusta, which is seeking help with more donations in order to continue to be there for others.
When it comes to Bridging the Gap, my heart grows warm knowing what they do to help out our community; I’m one of the many people they’ve helped in the past.

We all have been in a tight spot before, rent is short, electricity is about to be shut off and we can’t afford gas to get to an important appointment. That is what Bridging the Gap is all about, caring for the people who are struggling and just need a helping hand in their time of need. Right now we are asking for donations to continue all the hard work for our community.

It is easy to assume that someone else will step up, but the reality is that local nonprofits rely entirely on the generosity of people right here in our town. With their help we can assist more families and people in the community with basic needs and assistance. We encourage everyone, who is able, to step up and be the difference by calling the church at (207) 623-9486.
