WATERVILLE — Thomas College and Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce’s February business breakfast is set for 7:15-9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, in the Spann Student Commons Summit Room on Thomas College’s campus at 180 West River Road.
Neil J. Kiely, president of Androscoggin Bank, will discuss building a sustainable advantage through engaged and empowered employees, according to a news release from the chamber.
Before joining the bank, Kiely served as a director on the Androscoggin Bank Board. His background includes law, real estate development and other entrepreneurial ventures. Most recently, Kiely served five years as the director of Development, New England for First Wind LLC in Portland, where he led internal and external teams in all aspects of the development of grid scale wind and solar energy projects from site identification through permitting and community relations to construction. He received his juris doctor from Emory University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Boston College, according to the release.
Kiely serves on the University of Southern Maine Advisory Board and the Maine Advisory Board for the Trust for Public Land. Kiely lives in Falmouth, with his wife Elise and their two children.
Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce holds monthly informative presentations on a variety of educational business topics. The cost of the business breakfast is $18 for members, $25 at the door and for nonmembers. Breakfast is included with the reservation.
