LITCHFIELD — Spirit of America Awards were recently presented to residents.

Keith Marquis has put on a fireworks show for local residents since 1990 at no charge.

Scott Weeks has been responsible for the antique car show for 18 years. The show raises funds for the fireman’s association.

Lorene Pangburn has knitted and donated hundreds of hats to those in need. She also makes different crafts and ships them by the box to Make a Wish Foundation for their auction.

* Veterinarian Rachel Fiske helps raise money for the Fuel Fund by donating her time and giving rabies shots at cost.

* Estella Georgette Partridge has made more than 100 afghans and donated the majority of them to cancer patients as well as dozens to veterans at the VA Maine Healthcare System at Togus.

* George Luckhurst has volunteered to work with handicapped skiers and bikers for five years. He also volunteers at the VA Maine Healthcare System at Togus.

* Howard Campbell has volunteered for the Litchfield Farmers Club since 1958. He is also a resource for the historical society.

* Scott and Penny Bennington have made donations to the fuel fund.
