While it is instructive to watch the candidates for our national leadership in public debate with each other, I wonder how accurate a picture of their real positions we are getting?
The sanitized Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan performances thus far hardly reflect the strong tea party views within their party. What we’ve seen from them is not what we would get from them, I suspect, should they win.
As is true whenever we interview persons for a position, we do well to get accurate information about their actions when they are “off camera” and not putting their best foot forward for the benefit of the hiring committee.
