Signs tell us nothing about candidates, except maybe when you know who placed them.
I think Augusta voters have had it with political signs.
I also believe voters are sick of the negative whisper campaign against Dave Rollins.
I was amazed, as I witnessed some councilors recruiting an unknown as an opponent to their fellow councilor Rollins and then conducting a campaign against him.
I thought that we elected people to represent their constituents, not to attempt to “stack” the council for their own agenda.
Rollins’ opponent has every right to run, if he really wants to, and people who really want a sign for Harold Elliott should have it. But, that’s not the point.
We’re still waiting to hear one good reason why Rollins should not be re-elected as city councilor at large.
Rollins believes in Augusta, and has earned our support.
