Sgt. Jon Wilson of the Maine State Police helps Shae Rodrigue, 6, of China drive one of two robots the department uses in crisis negotiation at the annual National Night Out event in Waterville on Tuesday. National Night Out is a program aimed to introduce the public to their local first responders and foster better crime prevention in the community. The event was hosted by the Waterville Police Department, the South End Neighborhood Association and the South End Teen Center.
