WATERVILLE — The Waterville Area Boys and Girls Club and YMCA recently announced that club member Sebastian Bouchard was selected as a national winner in the Imagemakers National Photography Contest.

Bouchard’s photo “Mama and Papa at Sunset on Cadillac Mountain” won first place in the black and white category for 10-12 year olds.

Sent to regional and national competition from last spring’s Kids with Cameras competition, the photograph competed with thousands of other photos on its way to winning this award, according to a news release.

His photo and 19 other photos will be displayed at various Boys and Girls Club conferences.

Although the Waterville Boys and Girls Club and YMCA has only participated in the Imagemakers contest for four years, this will be the second time one of its submissions has been named one of the 20 best.
