Heavy rain falling in parts of Maine has triggered flash flood warnings for areas of Cumberland, Oxford, Somerset, Kennebec and Androscogging counties.
Showers and thunderstorms moved into western Maine and coastal New Hampshire early Thursday. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the affected areas.
The rain was expected to leave by midday, with temperatures in the 70s and 80s.
