LISBON — Caleb Castonguay threw for three touchdowns and rushed for another to lead the Maranacook football team past Lisbon 42-7 in a Western C Campbell Conference game Saturday afternoon at Thompson Field.

“We executed great,” Maranacook coach Joe Emery said. “We played great. We did a great job of taking what they gave us.”

Castonguay completed seven of 14 passes for 195 yards. He also rushed for 68 yards on nine carries as Maranacook (2-0) put this one away early. The Black Bears led 14-0 at the end of the first quarter and 22-0 at the half.

Castonguay threw two touchdown passes to Andrew Lachance and another to Zach Bessette.

“I was impressed with our execution and our intensity,” Emery said.

Jesse Evans rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown for Maranacook as well.

Lisbon dropped to 0-2.

Oak Hill 33, Telstar 0: Kyle Flaherty rushed for a team-high 83 yards and returned an interception 80 yards for a touchdown to lead the Raiders (2-0) to the Western C Campbell Conference victory in Bethel.

“We ran the ball well,” Oak Hill coach Stacen Doucette said. “We went 19 deep on varsity and rotated a lot of guys in and out.”

Alex Mace and Aaron Clark each rushed for first-quarter touchdowns to put the game away. Mace rushed for 44 yards while Clark finished with 30. Clark also had seven tackles. Oak Hill quarterback Parker Asselin rushed for two touchdowns in the second half.

Telstar dropped to 0-2.
