WATERVILLE — KFS will offer four $500 scholarships for students pursuing a two- or four-year degree program at a Maine college. Candidates for the scholarship must receive a high school diploma in 2012 and be entering college in the fall.

Candidates must have a 3.0 grade-point average or higher in high school and must be accepted into a two- or four-year degree program. Selected candidates must attain a 2.5 grade-point average or higher during their first semester of college. The scholarship will be paid directly to the college upon receipt of the first semester transcript.

Applications and information are available at kfsavings.com, at KFS offices in Waterville and high school guidance offices at Erskine Academy, Lawrence High School, Messalonskee High School, Temple Academy, Waterville Senior High School and Winslow High School.

Application deadline is May 4.
