Gov. Paul LePage is quoted (April 27) as saying that the state middle management “is about as corrupt as can be…”

Corrupt: Defined as dishonest, taking bribes, lacking integrity, crooked.

If the governor had placed a single name on that statement, he could be accused of libel. He is accusing a number of people of crimes. As it is, he’s just intemperate, guilty of overstatement to express his frustrations.

I wonder if he thinks any voter is persuaded by such sweeping generalizations? Does anyone believe anything he says?
