The Messalonskee Robotics Team Infinite Loop competed at the recent First World Robotics Championship in St. Louis. I would like to congratulate the members on their achievement of gaining third place in their arena, which included about 100 teams from all over the world.
They were brought up short in the last round of the quarterfinals in the elimination round after a tiebreaker round to see who would advance.
The team finished the competition as the 12th best in the whole world.
For a small team from Oakland, Maine, with a budget smaller than a majority of the teams attending, I’d say that is a great achievement.
My brother Derek deserves to be congratulated for a job well done as team’s lead programmer these past four years.
Great job, Infinite Loop of MHS Robotics.
