BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin College recently held its annual Honors Day ceremony May 9 recognizing the following area students for their achievements:

Anna Ackerman, of Augusta, class of 2012, was awarded the Edith Lansing Koon Sills Prize in Gender and Women’s Studies. Ackerman, majoring in gender and women’s studies, is a Cony High School graduate.

Kaitlin Clifford, of Augusta, class of 2012, was awarded the William Campbell Root Award. Clifford, majoring in chemistry with a minor in psychology, is a Cony High School graduate.

Tariq Haq, of Waterville, class of 2012, was awarded the Anne Bartlett Lewis Memorial Prize in Visual Arts. Haq, majoring in government and legal studies and visual arts, is a Waterville Senior High School graduate.
