AUGUSTA — The Cony Project Graduation Committee for the class of 2021 held a fundraiser May 17, hosted by Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro.
The golf tournament, with 14 teams of four golfers, raised approximately $3,700. The event included a silent auction of prizes, and the committee sold “Ram Packages” with a golden tee, mulligan, a string and a ticket into the putting contest. Longest drive competitions were held, and best scoring teams were recognized.
Proceeds are to benefit Project Graduation on June 13 at Cony High School. Project graduation is an overnight event with games, prizes, food and entertainment, held following graduation. It provides a safe and controlled environment for graduates to celebrate.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
