LYNCHTOWN TOWNSHIP — A 61-year-old woman was taken to the hospital after a snowmobile accident Thursday, according to the Maine Warden Service.
The woman and three other people were riding snowmobiles when she lost control and crashed on the Interconnecting Trail System 84 trail in Lynchtown Township in Oxford County around noon, Cpl. John MacDonald said.
MacDonald would not release the woman’s name because her family had not been notified of the accident. The woman had minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, MacDonald said.
A LifeFlight helicopter was called following the accident but was not used, he said. MacDonald did not have details about the helicopter or what hospital the ambulance took the woman.
