HARTLAND — Firefighters battled a blaze late Saturday afternoon at a house near the intersection of Commercial and North streets in Hartland.

“There’s pretty substantial loss on the inside,” Palmyra fire Chief Don Chute said as firefighters were fighting the blaze.

No further details were available.

Hartland is in Somerset County, about 11 miles northeast of Pittsfield.

North Street in Hartland runs between Commercial and Water streets. Commercial Street is off Academy and Main streets.
