WATERVILLE — The city of Waterville department of public works announces the residential yard waste drop off site will be open 7 a.m.-noon Saturday. Yard and garden waste, leaves and small bundles of brush may be dropped off at the public works compound, 6 Wentworth Court.
The site will also be open 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday through Wednesday, Nov. 23; weather permitting.
Curbside leaf pick-up will begin Monday and continue through Friday, Dec. 2; weather permitting. Leaves must be bagged and placed at the curb separated from regular trash.
Residents should use either compostable paper containers or plastic garbage bags left untied.
Generally, leaves will be picked up on normal trash removal schedules but could take place a day or two later due to weather or other considerations.
