STAFF REPORT
Bath salts are synthetic drugs that cause increased heart rate and blood pressure, high body temperature, muscle breakdown, frightening hallucinations, extreme paranoia, tremors, seizures, sometimes violent behavior.
These bath salts are not the bath salts people use for bathing.
They are powders that are typically white, tan or brown and may come in containers that look like legitimate bathing products; or in plastic envelopes, small ziplock baggies or foils.
Bath salts typically include the ingredients MDVP, Mephedrone, Methedrone, Methylone and Fluoromethcathinone.
Brand names include Cloud 9, Vanilla Sky, Ivory Wave, White Lightning and Bolivian Bath.
