WATERVILLE — City Councilor George Myers Jr., D-Ward 2, was re-elected to his seat Tuesday night, defeating opponent Patrick Roy, 345-202.

Myers, 58, is director of communications and community outreach for Kennebec Behavioral Health. He has served in the council seat about a year.

Roy, 64, a Republican and political newcomer, is a night auditor at the Comfort Inn. He is father to mayoral candidate Andrew Roy.
