I saw a show on TV recently that said U.S. representatives are allowed (and do) lease cars at taxpayers expense.
Although I did not catch the names of some who do lease, I do recall that one representative was leasing a Toyota Highlander and another leased a Lexus on last day before the session ended.
We have a country going down the toilet, horrendous debt, high unemployment, yet those who are elected to serve us (taxpayers) choose not to buy American. Every one who works in the government should be required to drive only American-made vehicles. Think of the jobs and services that would result from this.
Check any foreign country and see if their officials drive U.S. cars — bet the answer is none. Our elected officials do not live in the real world, only in the world they create, which is me first.
