The Harlow Gallery has announced the local award-winning artists for Art2014, the gallery’s annual juried show. Rebecca Singer of Augusta placed second and received a $250 cash prize for her carved artist conk series. Nancy Bixler of Hallowell received the juror’s choice prize and $150 for her mixed media drawing entitled “Noguchi Silence.” Judy Herman of Gardiner received a prize for best botanically themed work for her watercolor painting entitled “Iris I.” Herman received a $150 gift certificate to Longfellow’s Greenhouses in Manchester. Amy Peters Wood of Georgetown received best in show for “Four Seasons 1-6″ and Four Seasons 7-11” and received $500. Rachael Eastman of Biddeford placed third and received $150 for her ink on paper entitled “Moon/Dune 6”. David Wade of Portland received the Capital Area Camera Club’s $50 prize for best photograph.
