The Maine Music Society Chorale, directed by Dr. Richard Nickerson and accompanied by our new pianist Morgan Lee, will present its holiday concert, A Season of Celebration, at 7:00 p.m. on Dec. 9, and at 2:00 p.m. on Dec. 10, at the Franco Center in Lewiston.
Usher in the holiday season with this family friendly concert as we celebrate time held traditions with both new and familiar works featuring Benjamin Britten’s ‘A Ceremony of Carols’ with harpist Suki Flanagan, ‘Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus’ and experience our special interpretation of the beloved ‘‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.’ The audience will be invited to join the chorale for the traditional sing-along.
This concert promises to bring out the memories, spirit, celebration, and magic of the holiday season. The 75+ volunteer singers from within and around the LA community have been enthusiastically rehearsing for weeks and are ready to make this a performance to remember. Come join us as we feed our souls and lighten our hearts with joyous music.
