GARDINER — Gardiner Public Library will hold a creature-creation workshop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at the library, 152 Water St.
Participants will develop a friendly, scary or strange character through drawings, paintings and short stories, then be guided through the process of turning their newly created personalities into sewn, stuffed monsters. Students will learn basic sewing skills and how to construct simple patterns and are encouraged to bring their own sewing notions. The program will be facilitated by Adrienne Beacham.
Pizza will be served for lunch. There is no cost and all are welcome. Space is limited — registration is required. For more information, call 582-3312.
