Now that the communities of Maine, who represent their residents, are resisting Gov. Paul LePage’s order to cease giving general assistance to undocumented people, I can just imagine his reaction.
After pounding his fist on the desk he likely bellowed, “How dare they defy me! It doesn’t matter what state law says — I am the ruler here! I’ll teach them a lesson. Just like my good friend, I’ll order lane closures on their bridges. Then they will know who is boss around here!”
Of course, this declaration likely would be mixed with unprintable profanities.
I look forward to the day he moves to his house in Florida. He can be “the big fish in a small pond” somewhere else.
