WALDOBORO — Kian Alves scored twice to lead Gardiner past Medomak Valley 3-2 in a battle of boys soccer unbeaten teams Tuesday.

Brady Peacock added the other goal for the Tigers (4-0-0) and Sean Dunn stopped five shots.

Liam Doughty and Nevan Powers scored for the Panthers (2-1-1).

 

ERSKINE 5, BELFAST 1: Dominic Brann scored twice to lead the Eagles to the win South China.

Chase Larrabee, Emmett Appel and Kaden Crawford added one goal apiece for Erskine (2-2-0) while Parker Studholme made three saves.

Miles Tulliver made 13 saves for the Lions (2-2-0).

 

LEWISTON 5, MT. BLUE 0: Tegra Mbele continued his hot start to the season, scoring twice and assisting on a goal as the Blue Devils defeated the Cougars in Farmington.

Mechi Mbele, Isaac Bellemore and Abdirauf Hersi also scored for Lewiston (4-0), and David Francisco had an assist. Goalie Will Diamond-Stanic made four saves.

Kooper Keller stopped seven shots for Mt. Blue (2-2). Luc Walker and Jaxson Pound made one save each.

WINTHROP 2, MARANACOOK 1: Isaac Breau scored one goal and assisted on the other in the Ramblers’ victory over the Black Bears in Winthrop.

Evan Bilodeau netted Winthrop’s (1-1-1) other goal, and Connor Hachey recorded an assist on Breau’s goal. Goalie Jaxon August made five saves for the Ramblers.

Thatcher Riley scored for Maranacook (0-3). Grant Walters stopped seven shots.

WATERVILLE 5, CONY 1: Sadie Williams had a hat trick to lead the Purple Panthers to the win in Augusta.

Madison Gervais added the other two goals for Waterville (2-2-0).

Kya Douin scored for Cony (0-4-0) and Emma Buccelato made 13 saves.

 

SKOWHEGAN 2, OXFORD HILLS 0: Allie Frey scored both goals to lead the River Hawks to the win in South Paris.

Lauryn Moore assisted both goals for Skowhegan (3-1-0) and Natalie Cooke made 13 saves.

MT. BLUE 3, CAMDEN HILLS 0: Piper Wojcik had a goal and an assist in the Cougars’ road win in Rockport.

Bree Griffin and Lily Huntley also scored for Mt. Blue (2-0), while Summer Sawyer and Morgan Hersey each had an assist.
