Michael Smith of the gun-in-his-waistband incident at least has a sense of humor.

As a former security guard, I know it is not easy to be a night worker. To advertise the fact leaves one open to night crime. The Central Maine Power Co. crew that was involved is to be commended for restraint, as are the responding officers.

I suggest, however, that anyone reading this who does work at night contact CMP or any other services that may disturb them and tell them to keep the list of such clients confidential. Unlike the poor Smith, who now is known throughout the country as a target: No real gun, not home at night.
