Ashley Connolly, a recent graduate of Gorham High, was named girls Scholar Player of the Year by the United Soccer Coaches.

A midfielder, Connolly graduated from Gorham with a 4.0 GPA and was valedictorian of her class of 180 students. A two-time Varsity Maine All-State selection, Connolly scored 18 goals and six assists last fall and was named SMAA Midfielder of the Year by the conference’s coaches. She also earned All-American honors.

Connolly will continue her playing career at the University of South Carolina.
